Our Preschool program is based off the Torah's teaching:
"Educate a child according to his way"
At Gan Chai we believe that learning takes place through hands on experiences and sensory exploration in a safe and loving environment. The program activities are therefore designed to help children learn more about the world and the joys of their Jewish heritage and values through hands-on activities and active involvement.
Our Reggio Emilia and Montessori inspired curriculum is developed around the growing interests of our students. Through play, they develop their senses and knowledge while exploring their interests. We encourage the physical, intellectual and emotional growth of each child through the use of our fully equipped classroom centers; math, science, art, literacy, dramatic play, building and music. We believe that each child absorbs information from the world around them through different intelligences, so we cater to them all and enhance all aspects. Child centered learning practices such as these encourage children to become lifelong learners.

Play is key in our learning process. As the children play and explore, they enhance all these areas as well as learning communication and social skills.

Our teachers play the role of facilitators. Through nurture, care and love, they help the children take experiences and turn them into opportunities for learning and growth. We love to step back and watch as the children make discoveries on their own and develop their own ideas. We promote an environment where children can develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills for a successful and meaningful life.
